We are experts and it is our responsibility to ensure that your job delivers as expected or better. We often repair minor to major problems that we find on client supplied files. While most do not involve extra costs to the client, some do and a small percentage result in production delays.Take a minute to pursue the list and if you have any questions about any area of desktop, please call or email our prepress department. We will do everything we can, including coming to your location, to help you prepare the best files you can.

20 common areas that may cause delays or additional expenses:

1. Compressed files that are not self-extracting.

2. Page size in program is not final trim size.

3. Layouts in readers spreads instead of printers spreads.

4. Laser proofs not provided with disk.

5. Laser proof not at 100% and not indicated as reduced.

6. Laser proofs that are not final version supplied.

7. Color separated proofs or composite color proofs not provided.

8. Links are not provided or are not up to date.

9. Color separations are not correct in supplied file.

10. RGB/CMYK files supplied for spot color jobs.

11. Screen and or printer fonts not supplied.

12. Fonts have been renamed by client.

13. Fonts not supplied for embedded .eps files.

14. Fonts have 'stylized' by program controls in place of using correct font.

15. Large images have been rotated in the page layout program.

16. Large files cropped or resized in the page layout program.

17. Scans provided are at an improper resolution.

18. Scans provided are RGB and not CMYK as provided and not indicated.

19. Scans/photos/graphics supplied in unknown format.

20. Unnecessary files on the disk supplied.
